1. Nature of the Service (Directory & Search Index)

Web App Finder is an independent, community-driven discovery directory and search index for Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) and browser-based web applications.

Web App Finder is not an app store, broker, software distributor, or payment merchant. We do not develop, host, license, sell, distribute, or execute the underlying code of any third-party web applications listed in the catalog. All links provided direct users to external, third-party web domains operated independently by their respective publishers.

Non-Commercial & No Affiliate Links: Web App Finder is an independent, non-commercial community project. In accordance with 16 CFR Part 255 (FTC Endorsement Guides), we disclose that we do not accept paid placements, sponsored listings, advertising compensation, referral fees, or affiliate kickbacks. All directory listings and search results are organized purely for user utility.

2. Third-Party Websites & Applications Disclaimer

When you click a link or choose to open or install any third-party web application found on Web App Finder, you are leaving our site and accessing a service operated by an independent third party.

We do not control, monitor, review, or endorse the content, policies, terms, code security, privacy practices, data handling, or reliability of any third-party websites or services. Any interactions, data sharing, transactions, payments, or software use are strictly and exclusively between you and the respective third-party provider.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE AND ALL DIRECTORY LISTINGS ARE PROVIDED STRICTLY ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Web App Finder, its maintainers, contributors, and operators expressly disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, security, accuracy, uptime, or freedom from viruses, malware, or other malicious code.

In no event shall Web App Finder or its maintainers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages—including loss of data, loss of profits, loss of goodwill, device damage, financial loss, phishing incidents, or personal injury—arising out of or related to your use of this directory or any third-party web application listed herein.

4. Meaning of Badges ("Verified" vs "At Your Own Risk")

The ✔ Verified badge indicates solely that an automated check and editorial review confirmed the listing points to the publisher's official, canonical domain (as opposed to an imitation or typo-squatted domain). It is not a security certificate, financial audit, code audit, or safety guarantee.

Listings marked ⚠ At your own risk are contributed by the community and have only undergone basic automated reachability and manifest checks. You should exercise normal security caution when visiting any website. For full details on these checks, read How verification works.

5. Trademarks & Nominative Fair Use

Web App Finder™ is a common-law trademark of Henry Kent Romans. All rights reserved.

All third-party product names, logos, company names, trademarks, and registered trademarks referenced on Web App Finder are the property of their respective owners.

Their use on this website is strictly for nominative, descriptive, and identification purposes (nominative fair use) to inform visitors about the genuine software and services available on the web. Reference to or display of any trademark, commercial product, or entity does not constitute or imply any affiliation with, sponsorship of, or endorsement by the trademark holder.

6. Copyright, Screenshots & Delisting (Notice & Takedown)

Web App Finder respects intellectual property rights. App descriptions and screenshot images displayed on details pages are retrieved directly from the respective app's own publicly served Web App Manifest.

Under established legal doctrine (including the Ninth Circuit Server Test, Perfect 10 v. Amazon), linking to publicly accessible websites and inline display of images hosted on external servers does not constitute a reproduction or distribution of copyrighted works. Screenshots remain hosted solely on the publishers' servers and are loaded directly by your browser with referrerpolicy="no-referrer". Nonetheless, as a courtesy to developers and copyright owners, we promptly remove any link, description, or image reference upon receiving a delisting request.

If you are a copyright owner, trademark owner, or authorized publisher of an app listed here and wish to:

• Request removal (delisting) of your app, name, or listing,
• Update inaccurate metadata or canonical URL, or
• Report intellectual property infringement,

Please submit a Takedown or Delisting Request on our GitHub repository or use the ⚠ Report a problem button on any app details page. We process delisting and correction requests promptly.

7. User-Generated Content, Community Guidelines & Section 230 Immunity

Community members may submit apps, votes, comments, and problem reports. By submitting any content to Web App Finder, you agree that your contribution:

• Does not violate any law, intellectual property right, or privacy right.
• Does not contain malware, phishing links, deceptive claims, or malicious code.
• Does not contain adult, sexually explicit, defamatory, harassing, or hateful material.
• Does not contain, promote, or link to Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or any form of child exploitation or endangerment.

Section 230 Communications Decency Act Immunity (47 U.S.C. § 230): In accordance with 47 U.S.C. § 230, Web App Finder is an interactive computer service provider and is immune from civil liability for content, ratings, reviews, or comments published by third-party community members. While we provide tools for users to flag defamatory or inappropriate remarks and take voluntary editorial steps in good faith to enforce community safety, Web App Finder does not act as the author, speaker, or publisher of third-party user content.

Zero-Tolerance for Illegal Material & CSAM: We maintain strict zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material, terrorism, and illegal activities. In accordance with 18 U.S.C. § 2258A and applicable international laws, any identified or reported child sexual abuse material or severe threats will be removed immediately and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement authorities.

We reserve the right, at our sole editorial discretion and without prior notice, to reject, remove, suspend, or modify any listing, submission, comment, or warning report that violates our standards or applicable regulations.

8. Eligibility & Minimum Age (13+)

Web App Finder is intended for general audiences. By using this website, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years of age (or at least 16 years of age in jurisdictions where required, such as the European Economic Area).

Web App Finder is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly solicit, collect, or store personal information from children under 13 in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

9. Dispute Resolution, Class Action Waiver & Governing Law

Mandatory 30-Day Informal Resolution: Before filing any legal claim, arbitration, or proceeding against Web App Finder or its maintainers, you agree to notify us in writing via our GitHub repository or contact email and give us thirty (30) business days to informally resolve the issue in good faith.

Class Action Waiver: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ALL DISPUTES AND CLAIMS MUST BE RESOLVED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. YOU AND WEB APP FINDER AGREE THAT NEITHER PARTY MAY BRING A CLAIM AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

Governing Law & Forum: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the service shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts having jurisdiction over Butler County, Kentucky (including the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky), and you consent to personal jurisdiction therein.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

These terms may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements. Continued use of Web App Finder after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
